The Englishton Park Academic Remediation and Training Center is a nonprofit, residential, therapeutic program designed to work with children between the ages of 7 and 12 who are labeled learning disabled, emotionally handicapped, and behaviorally disoriented. The mission of the Englishton Park Academic Remediation and Training Center is five-fold. (1) To improve the child's academic skills (2) To change the child's attitudes toward learning (3) To modify the child's behavior interfering with learning in the classroom (4) To have the child experience success in school type activities (5) To train educators, counselors, psychologists, etc. in effective methods which they can utilize when working with children of special needs STAFF POSITIONS Teacher -Therapist : Implement Behavior Modification action plans Lesson Planning Report writing---note taking, observation, summaries, recommendations Parent Conference skills Tutoring skills Daily supervision of children in various settings (outdoor, educational) Facilitate and supervise cooperative learning activity daily Responsible for general safety and health of children in your group Work in team setting (3 staff team members to 8 or 9 children)

Compensation: Up to $3500.00, 3 college credit hours --graduate or undergraduate in psychology--tuition and fees paid by Englishton Park, room and board provided. |
